I guess we asked too many questions. Also, I am picky and 2 of the signs they had hanging up (1 for residents & 1 for staff) had spelling errors. I think the little items are just as important as the big items. We have looked at many places and this is not one of the better ones we saw. It looked like they try to keep the residents social, and they took good care of them at Amber Court.

It's a very, very beautiful place. The staff who toured me was friendly and knowledgeable. Caring.com is a leading online destination for caregivers seeking information and support as they care for aging parents, spouses, and other loved ones. Amber Court looked old, the carpeting is old. There were lots of people walking around with walkers.

If you have the money, you can live very nicely there. They had movies and religious services. I just visited Amber Court of Westbury. You can tell that the staff are very passionate about their jobs. The woman that took me on the tour was very nice.

They had a lot more happening than others I had seen. Look at the programs of what they are offering during the day. This community didn't offer the level of care we needed... The person who assisted me was very pleasant and answered all my inquiries. Amber Court seemed to be a good environment for my situation. My husband has Alzheimer’s, so it seemed like a good idea. It was very clean and seemed like the people were very caring. It seemed like the right environment for my husband.

I went to all three to check them out. All three were extremely clean, well kept, and with an awesome staff. Each had their own ways of doing activities, along with living headquarters, and cost.

So far, I've been happy with them. There are things going on all the time and the staff work hard to pair residents personalities together. For example they will move residents around at meal times based on their likes and dislikes. I would recommend to others looking. My family looked at this facility for my mother-in-law.

There is always someone cleaning, vacuuming, etc. If she's not in her room, a staff member helps me find her . She takes advantage of the salon by getting her hair cut and her nails done too. The recreation room always has very good attendance. All in all, I am very happy and impressed with the Alcove at Amber Court in Westbury. Welcome to Amber Court of Westbury...a wonderful place to call home.

They were more people with mental health issues. The apartments were nice, and I liked it. They could improve on the meal plans. It wasn't appetizing at all, and there weren't many choices. Staff is awake and available 24 hours a day so if any emergencies occur no matter the time, there will be someone ready to help.

The staff was friendly and professional. They did accept medicaid which I was happy about, but the initial up front cost were too expensive. There was no pool on sight for the residents, but there were recreational activities available to the residents. The residents within this facility that we spoke with appeared to be happy with residing there.
The workers run the place, so if you hate your mom or dad this is the place for you. There were only a few places that accepted wheelchairs and oxygen which my aunt needs, and Amber Court was one of them. They have the most services of the places that we looked at. The staff that I encountered like the admission staff was very nice.

Everything about it was nice, and it looked clean, but it all came down to what he needed. Im sending my uncle there starting next month. Im very happy with what they offer. Place is very clean and staff is caring and professional.
